Features, advantage and benefits of my treatment of Erectile Dysfunction in men and Anorgasmia in women.
I began practise as a chiropractor in 1993, yet in 2008 (along with very many colleagues) left the questionably honest General Chiropractic Council and now treat as an Osteomyologist. I qualified as a Shockwave Therapist in 2006… four years after that, scientist Yoram Virdi et al from Haifa, Israel began successfully treating men with vasculogenic erectile dysfunction in 2010.
I confidently assert that my `Total’ treatment regimen is a more comprehensive programme than any other clinic in the UK currently offering this non-invasive, non-surgical, side-effect free, virtually pain-free and almost 95% effective* treatment for Erectile Dysfunction (ED). [*see later evidence of efficacy along with many scientific references]
How my advanced Treatment Protocol differs:
As many patient’s will attest, realigning the entire body from head-to-toe, incl. lumbo-sacral spine and pelvis through high velocity adjustments not only relieves pain but it promotes function and bolsters the immune sysytem as well as enabling far greater mobility and flexibility – a great mood enhancer! A misaligned spine can greatly affect you physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally incl. function of the sex organs as I will explain.
I use an advanced, one-of-a-kind chiropractic drop table featuring graduated traction that gently and effectively decompresses the spinal facet joints and intervertebral discs – thus facilitating greatly improved nerve freedom and function throughout the body.
The Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) [largely from the spine and 10th cranial (Vagus) nerve] is a major factor governing a healthy gut/viscera and reproductive organs and my treatments successfully realigns your spine, ribs, neck, shoulders etc. in order to promote freedom of these nerves, thus getting rid of your aches and pains as well as treating your ED
My ED treatment is augmented by a world beating British invention: The `Theraflex’ (see main site) + various other innovative inventions such as a the Theragun G3 Pro, H-Wave Neuro-muscular stimulator etc. to aid my hands in bringing about musculo-skeletal balance.
I also include a hydrotherapy option, utilising my powerful 5-pump Arctic Klondiker Epic Spa – if deemed appropriate. It is hugely relaxing and facilitate’s muscle tone improvement by virtue of increasing blood supply to the surface tissues – again, more can be evinced from my `Hydrotherapy’ page.
Crucially, my treatment regime includes 8 sessions of Low intensity extra-Corporeal Shockwaves, [Li-ESWT] and not 6 as the majority of other clinics offer + a much lower cost!
ED treatment also features the added benefit of Dr. Harry Oldfields’ Light Crystal Harmony Unit which you can see at www.electrocrystal.com that boost’s and balances base chakra energy. Utilising `Quantum Mechanical’ principle’s that are scientifically proven (basically, we are all vibrational energy that is 13.4 Billion years old – as your atoms and photons are)!
My ED treatment’s also include subliminal audio programmes – with headphones provided. These are proven to instil subconscious brain patterns, creating a confident mindset that is specifically intended to defeat a dysfunctional sexual outlook and to boost relaxation.
I will also give a wealth of nutritional advice thanks to 26 years of continuing professional development programmes that have focussed on good nutrition.
N.b. I got asked: “Can this boost my game, even if I haven’t got ED?” Yes, of course – you can have a single session at an 1/8th of the cost…you don’t have to have a full course if you don’t feel it is needed!
Cost:
N.b. There is no `up front’ payment at chirofix.com!
Furthermore, a hugely reduced financial outlay i.e. a Harley St. clinic charges £2,645 for 6 sessions and another `International clinic’ in London charges £3,250 per 6 sessions, whereas I offer a very comprehensive 8 treatment course for £2,000 – I do not have huge overheads. Thus a significant saving as well as greater convenience for those living centrally in the UK.
I employ Storz Medical’s most powerful Shock Wave device; the MP200 – delivering shock waves that are capable of treating a wide variety of conditions…not just ED.
For example, Li-ESWT successfully treats tendinopathies and also cellulite. [aka Gynoid Lipodystrophy that is found in 85% of post-adolescent women – `de La Casa Almeida 2013’] See www.storzmedical.com and look under the tab `Aesthetics’
Storz Medical (Urology) The Storz Medical MP200 is the most powerful Li-ESWT to date, that I use in my treatments (incl. `ED’) at Chirofix.com
ED – Erectile Dysfunction
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a sexual dysfunction that is increasingly prevalent with age. Men affected by ED are unable to develop or maintain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse despite being sexually stimulated. Most ED cases are of vascular origin. When treating ED with shock wave therapy, low-intensity shock waves are applied to different treatment zones on the penis and on the perineum.
I will show you how to purchase your own Lidocaine/Prilocaine (EMLA Cream) should you wish, as the treatment is (depending on the individual) mildly or moderately uncomfortable without this measure! Under my instruction, I urge patients to shower first, then apply the EMLA cream 90’ prior to arriving at my clinic for shockwave therapy.
Please Note: Li-ESWT also successfully treats Peyronie’s Disease (an abnormal curvature of the penis) and it is shown to treat anorgasmia in women, too!
Contraindications:
I will ask a number of pertinent questions to ascertain the patients’ suitability at the initial interview/examination prior to undertaking treatment. There are a number of contra indications to treatment that can easily be evaluated at the initial contact stage, either by email or telephone, as I would not wish to give anyone false hope and/or waste their money and time under false pretenses:-
- Any man taking blood thinners such as Heparin or Warfarin needs to be aware that such treatment can induce exaggerated micro trauma or tissue damage (aka Petechiae) as a result of bleeding under the skin
- Any man with chronic herpes simplex that is `shedding’ or any other such erupting skin infection will have to wait until healed
- It is advisable to consult your own G.P. prior to considering Li-ESWT if you have a cardiac pacemaker and/or mitral valve replacement or are of a slight nervous disposition.
- If you are suffering from any recent major surgery anywhere from the chest to groin it is advisable to wait until fully healed after an advisory talk with your G.P. The same goes for any cancer sufferers and those that have recently undergone prostatic surgery (benign or malignant)
- The list of contraindications is not exhaustive but a little common sense and an honest feedback response would be greatly appreciated, as I am here to help when all is said and done.
- I will not be treating minors or indeed anyone under 18 yrs of age without strict parental guidance
N.b. Many clinics worldwide offer treatment protocols that are vastly different in intensity (energy and frequency of shockwaves) – my treatment regime considers the best outcome based on empirical findings as there is no `gold standard’ as well as best practise scientific evidence-based results of findings from many studies conducted globally. I will also include references. There have indeed been hundreds of studies conducted with random controlled trials across the globe – all of which have thus far demonstrated a proven scientific basis for Shockwave ‘Li-ESWT’ treatment for ED. Simple, easy, effective and with no `down time’.
For example, men that were hitherto Phosphodiesterase Type 5 Inhibitor `non-responders’ i.e. to Tadalafil aka `the Weekender’ generically known as Cialis or Sildenafil aka Viagra etc., have become responders after treatment and others have created an Erection Hardness Scale (EHS) sufficient to perform once again without the use of further PDE5i medication!
As you will see from the pie chart, the vast majority of men suffering from ED fall into the category of vasculogenic issues i.e. blood flow problems. The main concerns being getting blood flow into the penis (often referred to as `inflow’ or preventing immediate `backflow’). The mechanism for generating spongeiform tissue neo-vascularization or neo-angiogenesis i.e. new blood capillaries and arteriole creation is explained below and I have also included a very encouraging scientific paper, along with many references demonstrating success rates as high as 94%!
Sexual arousal causes an inflow of blood to the highly specialised spongeiform tissues of both of the corpus cavernosum and the corpus spongiosum, creating an erection aka tumescence. The penis is not really a muscle as such, but is a highly specialised erectile organ that requires respect and sometimes a little scientific intervention to assure a satisfactory sexual performance.
One of the most amusing historical names attributed to the penis came from the early 17th century [origin unknown] as the `purple headed custard chucker’ which appears to describe normal tumescence perfectly – with a sense of humour.

But before I continue, this startling discovery may be of great interest to some women (not just indirectly) but women that suffer anorgasmia – an inability to reach orgasm. Please see for yourself at www.browardurologycenter.com in the U.S.
For example:
Broward Urology Center (sic) is excited to offer a breakthrough treatment of sexual dysfunction for both men and women!
Are you a man who is suffering from weakening erections, penile shortening or curvature? Are you a woman who is having a decrease in sexual pleasure, poor lubrication, pain with intercourse or an inability to achieve an orgasm?
At the Broward Urology Centre, we see thousands of patients each year with these sexual complaints and until now, treatment options have been limited…
Low intensity shockwave therapy (Li-ESWT) is a groundbreaking “drug and surgery-free” procedure that uses acoustic waves to stimulate a cascade of biological actions that lead to the healing and regeneration of the sexual organs. Simply…Li-ESWT helps your body heal itself!
After much research and training, we are proud to include Li-ESWT alongside many other treatments for our patients suffering from sexual dysfunction.
Please call us for a consultation to see if you are a candidate for Li-ESWT!
Why Do People Get Sexual Function Problems?
For both men and women, changes in sexual function can have a very significant impact on one’s own self-esteem and that of their partner’s as well. Difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection and/or concerns about penile size, shape and curvature, with or without pain commonly happen to men as they age. Decreased sexual pleasure for a woman can stem from poor lubrication, pain with intercourse, the vaginal canal being too loose (less sensation) or too tight (discomfort), and difficulty or inability in achieving an orgasm. With increasing age, the blood vessels to, and within the sexual organs (penis and vagina), can collapse or breakdown resulting in dysfunction.
What Is Low Intensity Shockwave Therapy (LI-ESWT)?
Our bodies have a remarkable capacity to heal themselves. Regeneration of new tissue is accomplished by the natural production of stem cells. Low Intensity Shockwave Therapy (Li-ESWT) delivers pulse waves to the penis or vagina and stimulates activation of the body’s cellular repair mechanisms, similar to that with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections. This results in the opening of existing blood vessels and growth of new ones as well. It additionally stimulates cellular tissue repair resulting in improved, or even normalized, sexual function. Li-ESWT was originally used to treat sports injuries and plantar fasciitis, but now has evolved to address issues of sexual wellness and dysfunction. It is one of the most advanced, effective natural treatments for cellular repair AND rejuvenation throughout the body. Trademarked names for Shockwave Therapy include GainswaveTM, CorewaveTM, RejuvawaveTM and SwisswaveTM. All of these use the same type of pressure wave technology – developed by Storz Medical in Switzerland.
What Benefits Can a Man Have from Shockwave Therapy?
- Stronger, firmer erections
- Increased sensitivity in the penis
- Easier to achieve and maintain erections (i.e., improved sexual stamina)
- Increased penile length and girth
- Greater self-esteem
- Improvement in or resolution of penile curvature & pain from Peyronie’s Disease
- Resolution of penile pain with erection
- Better overall blood flow to the penis
What Benefits Can a Woman Have from Shockwave Therapy?
- Decreased or completely resolved pain during sex (known as dyspareunia)
- Increased ability to have vaginal orgasms
- Stronger and more frequent orgasms
- Greater arousal from clitoral stimulation
- Increased vaginal lubrication
- A tighter vaginal canal (if felt to be too loose prior)

- Decreased or resolved overactive bladder and/or urinary incontinence
How does Li-ESWT (Low intensity Extra Corporeal Shock Wave Therapy) work?
The mechanism by which LI-ESWT induces angiogenesis (new blood vessel growth) has been evaluated in a number of recent studies. Mariotto et al. (2005) demonstrated that extracorporeal shockwaves at a low energy density could enhance endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) activity and induce enzymatic nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) production in human umbilical vein endothelial cells. Wang et al. (2003) identified that Li-ESWT stimulated the expression of angiogenesis-related growth factors and endothelial cell proliferation factors, including nitric oxide synthase (NOS), vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGF), and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in a rabbit model.
It has been hypothesized that when appropriate energy from Li-ESWT accumulates within the targeted tissues, it will induce shear stress and intracellular microtrauma, and then stimulate eNOS and release of VEGF and PCNA, resulting in neovascularization, increased T-Cell proliferation and interleukin release.
The diagram below is further evidence of neo-vascularization in a pig model following Low-intensity Extra Corporeal Shockwave Therapy
This hypothesis has been proven in several animal studies (Goertz et al., 2012, 2014; Tepeköylü et al., 2013). Another possible mechanism through which LI-ESWT can improve ED may be mediated by recruitment of endogenous mesenchymal stem cells. Qiu et al. (2013)
Other studies have hypothesized that introducing micro-trauma by way of shockwaves appears to disintegrate atheromas (lipid deposits) that can clog up the arterioles in the sensitive spongiform tissues of the penis.
In short, the shear stress or micro trauma to the penile tissues creates intra and extra-cellular responses that stimulate endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase (eNOS) which in turn generate Vascular Endothelial Growth Factors (VEGF) which in turn create the output of Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen (PCNA) that ultimately produces Neo-Vascularization or new blood supply within the penile shaft and crura [the penis below the scrotum in the perineum].
It is perhaps noteworthy from medical journals across the world, including The Lancet, that the treatment does not usually have an immediate effect, however it does continue to improve the blood flow for several months post treatment…
Phosphodiesterase type 5 Inhibitors – Pharmacology:
www.ncbi.nim.nih.gov (PDE-5 inhibitors in the management of erectile Dysfunction)
During sexual arousal, Nitric Oxide (NO) is released from nerve termina and endothelial cells in the Corpus cavernosum.
NO activates Guanylate Glycose to convert Guanosine Triphosphate into cyclic Guanosine Monophosphate (cGMP) which in turn triggers a cGMP-dependent cascade of biological events.
The accumulation of cGMP leads to smooth-muscle relaxation in the Corpus Cavernosum and increased blood flow to the penis.
PDE5 is an enzyme found primarily in the smooth muscle of the Corpus Cavernosum that selectively cleaves and thereby degrades cGMP to 5-GMP.
The PDE-5 inhibitors are similar in structure to cGMP, they bind to the PDE5 enzyme and inhibit cGMP hydrolysis thus enhancing the effect of NO. This increase in cGMP in the smooth muscle cells is responsible for prolonging an erection.
N.b. PDE5-i’s lack a direct effect on Corpus Cavernosum smooth-muscle relaxation. Ergo, after administration there needs to be adequate sexual stimulation necessary for an erection to occur.
N.b. If you have been taking such PDE-5i’s as Cialis (Tadalafil) my advice is to stop this medication for the 4 weeks of the Li-ECSWT treatment and 6-8 weeks beyond that to thoroughly `wash out’ it’s effect as the biological regeneration of your penile tissues continues well after the treatment has been completed [according to many studies].
Actions you might consider in order to help yourself:
Diet.
Watch what you eat. Sounds simplistic but observing the nutritional value of the foods (and `Franken-foods’) you consume is vitally important and not just for your sex life but your general health – check those labels!
For example; it is imperative that oestrogenic products such as soy(a), milk and especially sugar be eradicated from your diet as much as possible. Sadly, beer is on the list! Watch out for those so-called and often expenive health drinks that are primarily soy based or loaded with sugar…
One of the best ways to block xeno-oestrogen is by eating raw (use a blender with some grapes to sweeten to taste) cruciferous veggies that have a high level of phyto-nutrients that block oestrogen e.g., cauliflower, cabbage, kale, broccoli, sprouts. Eating cooked lentils and quinoa are good options too.
Again, as this is the `information age’ this knowledge is available to you at your fingertips.
Mushrooms, green tea (polyphenols), red grapes – yes, good quality red wine, too (but remember – alcohol in moderation…we have all heard of Brewers droop)! Eat lots of seeds too
Interestingly, a wonderful source of Vit B12 (cyanocobalamin) comes from apple pips – the best part of the fruit (according to some) as they contain a naturally occuring compound of hydrocyanic acid (cyanide) along with a benzaldehyde that interacts with beta-glucosidase to selectively kill cancer cells! [N.b. Healthy cells mediate any perceived dangerous effect as they have within them an enzyme called rhodinase that rejects hydrogen cyanide entry – unlike cancer cells that have no defense to hydrogen cyanide].
Apricot kernels are particularly abundant with this property, despite what the `men from the ministerre’ want you to think!
Turmeric (curcumin) and cayenne pepper (capsaicin) are also deemed valuable in helping to keep arterioles healthy, as does garlic – or the refined `allicin’ as you can supplement with.
Dark chocolate (typically 90% or higher) cocoa is a good source of L-Arginine that creates Nitric Oxide (NO) as mentioned before.
The same is true for beetroot (try the whole veg not just the sweetened juice) and also watermelon is a great provider of citrulline that converts to L-Arginine too.
Dietary supplements of zinc (in oysters) is important for sperm production. N.b. high doses of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid with bioflavanoids) is an `essential vitamin’ and is vital for the strength and flexibility of your arterial sysytem as these tubes are made largely of collagen fibres that require Vitamin C for their elasticity. Please also take up to 5,000 i.u. of Vit D3 (cholecalciferol) as this too plays a significant role in overall health (especially in the winter).
Other supplements such as Gingko Biloba (a natural vaso-dilator) and Red Korean Ginseng as well as Fenugreek, Avena Sativa, Maca (root), Stinging Nettle can also help to boost your libido.
You may wish to get your testosterone levels checked too…low levels cause hypo-gonadism i.e. your testes can shrink! There are many laboratories on-line to test this so you don’t need to consult your G.P. if you don’t want to. There are a great number of remedies such as gels, patches, pellets, injections etc. if needed to normalise this vital male androgen.
If you are a carnivore, try more `green days’ (Gorilla’s do it all the time) and note that good quality whole eggs are a valuable source of protein and `good’ cholesterol. You can try eating grass fed beef and also venison. Various nuts including walnuts, macadamia’s and pistachios are good too.
Healthy fats are also essential – foods such as Avocado’s are treated like super foods by many nutritionists. Cold pressed extra virgin olive oil is healthy as is coconut oil. Stimulants such as coffee, in moderation can also help too.
N.b. In a recent Italian study featuring 110 obese men with ED, (50% of whom were given detailed exercise/nutritional guidance), it was demonstrated that more than 30% of those men in that group had corrected their ED without medication after a 2 year follow-up! Ergo lifestyle therapy is slower but it gave major, longer term gains in cardiovascular risk factors as well as improved erectile function…
So, reduce that waistline!
Try the 5/2 diet aka intermittent fasting (or`FAST’ diet as television personality Dr. Michael Mosely calls it…from an idea developed in the U.S.) wherein your blood peptides, glycerides, proteins, good cholesterol benefit; (testosterone can be boosted by up to 400%), HgH, and a whole host of other `feel good’ chemicals such as serotonin, interleukins, dopamine, endorphins, oxytocin etc. Are boosted. It is important to have a `happy Hippocampus’.
Lifestyle Changes to Consider
Quit smoking!
Lifting heavy weights 2-3x/week. This will boost testosterone production.
Go to the gym and ask for help with a an exercise programme. Typically squatting, bench pressing, preacher curls – it is suggested you choose a weight that you can just complete 8-10 reps at before failure…
The use of a Power Plate is a great way to get fit and strong as these help to release HgH (Human growth Hormone) into the tissues. I have the best on the market to demonstrate.
Limit some cardio exercises such as running and cycling but consider H.i.i.T – High Intensity Interval Training, as propounded by many on Television…
As Phillip Day says:- “It’s no good walking Fi-Fi around the cricket pitch…get your heart rate up!”
Reduce stress:
There are various ways to do this despite the modern world pressurising us so much these days. Keeping Cortisol stress `fight or flight’ hormone levels down will have a profound bearing on your hippocampus as well as your H.P.A. axis – which is the correlation between your Hypothalamus, Pituitary (master gland) and your Adrenal glands. After all, if you are stressed, your immune system suffers – try watching several fascinating video’s from Dr. Bruce Lipton PhD on YouTube to further grasp what I mean.
Nb. Stress, anxiety, anger ALL generate cortisol – a passion killer to be avoided!
If you are in a relationship and you feel you are unappreciated, unloved or abused – dump the toxic partner!
Another strategy for boosting Testosterone and other `feel good’ chemicals is Red Light Therapy [yes, look it up] and fortunately I have this covered as I use red frequency spectrum collimating light to boost your base chakra energy immediately after the Li-ESWT has been done – again see Dr. Harry Oldfield’s invention with over 100 patents to his name at www.electrocrystal.com
Learn to Love yourself
“You have to learn to love yourself before you can love someone else. Because it’s only when we love ourselves that we feel worthy of someone else’s love.” Alyssa B. Sheinmel
Good sleep is essential. Choose a good quality mattress and buy a big bed if you can. I sleep on a large waterbed as it’s helps me sleep better with my own spinal injuries I received many years ago in a near-fatal hit-and-run that eventually brought me to chiropractic and also (now) ShockWave Therapy too.
6-8 hours is essential but some people think 6 hours is too little…Arnold Swarzennegger told a member of his audience who questioned his less-than <8 hours, he replied: “Sleep faster!”
Experiments have shown those men that have adequate sleep have higher waking testosterone levels
Another device to promote erectile function is a simple vacuum device that can be employed to aid in-flow of blood to engorge the penis up to 15’ every day. The vacuum flask pump device helps engorge the spongeiform issues that create an erection that can be maintained with a variety of `cock-rings’ and thus can have a positive effect on the male psyche.
As mentioned, subliminal audio’s are a powerful method of promoting `brain entrainment’ – I have this covered as part of my treatment programme, too.
N.b.
You are the sum total of your thoughts and they are mostly subconsciously run by your autonomic mind which governs 95% of our thinking, which is why subliminal audio’s work because they by-pass the conscious analytical mind and enter the subconscious part of your mind to overwrite any negative ideas or programmes that you have been running since the last trimester of your mother’s pregnancy up until 7 years old! This is why utilisation of my www.realsubliminal.com programme’s can also help men with ED.
Finally, as I have been teaching thousand’s of my spinal patient’s over the last 3 decades, the most important part of their diet is water! (You’d soon know if you were lost in the desert). Every system in your body is tied to the utilisation of water… endocrinological, neurological, occular, auditory, arterial etc. etc. as well urological…
Our genito-urinary system requires water and that includes our kidneys, prostate, testes etc. although it is a good idea to ensure your water is filtered if drinking `corporation pop’
How much water do I need?
Both Phillip Day and Dr. Ferrudin Batmanghelidh co-authored a book: “Water” In it there is a simple formula that tell you how much water your body needs for optimum homeostatic balance of electrolytes within your body.
`You should drink half of your weight in fluid ounces per day’
Simply put: the amount of water you require depends entirely upon one thing…your mass.
In plain language, if you weigh 20 stone, half of your body weight is 10 st. Therefore that is equal to 140 lbs…now call that fluid ounces (140 Fl. oz.) – So how many fl.oz. are there in an Imperial Pint? Answer 20. Ergo, 140 fl.oz = 7 pints if you weigh 20 st. You need 3-1/2 pints if 10 stone and so on as you can extrapolate intermediate values easily from this idea. This does NOT include other drinks – it is as well as other drinks. Drink 2 pints first thing in your day whilst sitting down. ‘You will be peeing out acid’ and soon everything works better.
But everything in moderation as too much water causes hyponatraemia, a deadly condition wherein tissue salts are washed out of the blood-brain barrier and can be fatal!
